Gas Purification Panel

Need for Gas purification panel in Gas Chromatography has been realised now beyond any doubts both for the column & the detector. Pure gas is of utmost importance in terms of efficiency & life of the column, as well as detector sensitivity, accuracy & reproducibility of the results. It is therefore recommended that the selection of the system is done judiciously, considering all the physical & chemical properties offered by the system. Thus, one has to consider the genuinity of the materials used in the fabrication of the system, such as

Tubing material, which has to be S.S. only,

Treatment given to the gas lining for thorough cleaning,

Type of fittings used for the working pressure range,

Material of construction to withstand the operating pressure,

Quality of the chemicals used for gas purification in terms of their physical & chemical properties, etc.

Apart from these, what is of utmost important is zero leakage of the system. We, at Onus , check the system thoroughly prior to its despatch from our factory, as well as installation at the site. This guarantees a long term trouble-free & satisfactory working of the system.

Gas Control Box

From a Gas Purification System, purified gases can be supplied to a number of Gas Chromatographs through Gas Control Boxes when each instrument requires different delivery pressure & flow. The Gas Control Box consists of ON/OFF valve & a pressure regulator to control the gas flow as well as delivery pressure & gauges to indicate inlet gas pressure from the system as well as delivery pressure to the instrument. This helps in using various types of Gas Chromatographs in the same Gas line for different types of application where the operating pressure & flow are totally different. Gas Control Box can be installed on a Wall or Instrument Table & can be supplied as per the specifications of the Customers.

Selector Box

Standard system consists of a panel incorporating gas controls & purification traps for 4 gases in a unit, viz. Nitrogen Helium, Hydrogen & Zero Air. For certain Gas Chromatoghraphic applications, frequent changeover of carrier gas from Helium to Nitrogen is required. For such applications Selector Box is to be used. This uses a special Gas Sampling Valve which takes care of leakage problems especially faced while using Helium.






Mini Gas Station

Generally a Gas Purification System is supplied to cater the need for a number of Gas Chromatographs. In order to make each Gas Chromatograph operationally independent, one has to use a Mini Gas Station with each Gas Chromatograph with ON/OFF valve for each gas. These are normally fitted on the wall or the Instrument table from where the Gas Purification Panel is visible to indicate the gas inlet & the delivery pressure to the instrument.

Gas Regulators

Gas Regulators play a vital role in day to day operation of the Gas Chromatographs. We cater to the specific needs of the user & supply various types of single stage and double stage regulators with indigenous/ imported gauges in Brass / S.S. body with S.S. diaphragms. Regulators supplied by us do not have any leakage problems, indicate correct pressure & are smooth in operation.





Moisture Traps

High efficiency Silica gel & Molecular sieves are used for the purpose of removing moisture from the carrier gas. Silica gel is of indicating type changing its colour from blue to pink on use, having high moisture capacity. Molecular sieves are of spherical shape, yielding high mechanical strength & low dusting. Both the materials are of regenerable type.




Hydrocarbon Traps

Activated charcoal is used for the purpose of removing hydrocarbon impurities from the carrier as well as fuel gases, especially for reducing the errors in analysis while using FID. These materials have a very large surface area & pore diameter to adsorb large size hydrocarbon molecules.


Oxytraps

Removal of Oxygen from gases takes place only with the help of catalytic type of materials, which also work only under specific operating conditions. We use pre-treated catalyst which can be regenerated & has comparatively better activity under normal working conditions. Oxytraps are supplied with either indicating or non- indicating type of catalyst.


Gas Tubing

We supply smooth and clean bore tubing for gases in various sizes and materials such as Copper, S.S., Nylon, Teflon etc. These are manufactured using high purity materials to suit the requirement for Gas Chromatographic applications. The tubes have mechanical properties such as strength, flexibility and finish appropriate for the desired purpose.


Pigtails

Connection of Gas cylinders to the Manifold systems is established with the help of Pigtails. These are made of Teflon tubing with external Stainless Steel flexible protection. The end connectors are suitably designed to fit on the Gas cylinder, Regulator as well as Manifold systems.

Manifold Systems

Use of Manifold systems is recommended when the consumption of Gas is large & replacement of the cylinders is frequent. These are supplied in Brass / S.S. with proper mounting, which makes re- connection of cylinders a simpler task. Manifold System has a commercial advantage that only one regulator is required per manifold irrespective of number of cylinders.




Multi Cylinder Connection System

This is essentially modified version of Manifold system where more than 2 cylinders are required to be used with one instrument. These can be used all at a time or one at a time by only opening & closing a valve. This simplifies the operation & in turn also improves the life of the Regulators.




Toggle Valves

These high-quality, precision-machined valves are available in 1/8- and 1/4-inch sizes in both brass and stainless steel. Toggle valves are ideal for applications where instant on-off control is necessary. Toggle valves are rated to 200 psig. The Toggle valves with dual seats provide leak-tight bi-directional sealing.




HPLC Ferrules & Fittings

We make & supply ferrules & fittings with exact size & shape for leakproof connection using appropriate materials withstanding high operating pressures in HPLC. There are various types of fittings having unique shape & dimensions which are normally fabricated on a large scale by preparing the moulds. With our facilities & expertise, we are in a position to cater to the needs of the users on a small scale also. This not only saves the time of the users, but also provides them an alternative source.

Nitrogen Generator

We make & supply ferrules & fittings with exact size & shape for leakproof connection using appropriate materials withstanding high operating pressures in HPLC. There are various types of fittings having unique shape & dimensions which are normally fabricated on a large scale by preparing the moulds. With our facilities & expertise, we are in a position to cater to the needs of the users on a small scale also. This not only saves the time of the users, but also provides them an alternative source.

The nitrogen gas generators require less maintenance and servicing as it has no moving parts. In this generator, an existing compressed-air supply is used whereas in other cases an integrated compressor or external silenced compressor is installed.

Downstream Pressure Control Valves

Downstream pressure control valve are pressure reducing valves which combine sensitivity with stability of the controlled pressure. These valves can react to very small changes in controlled pressure. Due to the pressure loaded design, differential pressure across the main valve diaphragm is minimum. Safety Relief Valve

Our safety relief valve is fitted in vessels to prevent an undue rise in pressure. Whenever the vacuum is build, the safety relief valve gets actuated and there is a rapid opening or pop up action to release the pressure.
